Last year 81 tables of Pathfinder Society adventures were run at Conception. This year they are going to try to hit 100! Come and join them as they make the attempt. They pride themselves on being the friendliest living campaign and you are welcome to join them as a complete beginner or as an old veteran.

The adventures are not finalised but they aim to run the latest, hottest adventures that have been released in time to allow their GMs to prepare them properly. But they will also run older adventures and special introductory games that will ease your character into the campaign and give you a chance to meet the mysterious faction leaders who may persuade you to undertake their dirty work.

So avoid playing adventures from this provisional list if you want to play them at Conception:

HOT NEW adventures

#3-09: The Quest for Perfection—Part I: The Edge of Heaven Levels 1–5
In the distant land of Tian Xia, the Pathfinder Society’s Lantern Lodge sends a team of agents high into the mountains of the Wall of Heaven to an abandoned Iroran monastery in search of a powerful relic to assist them in ensure victory in the upcoming Ruby Phoenix Tournament. Though the monastery has long laid unused by the faithful of the Master of Masters, it is not completely devoid of danger, and the PCs soon discover that merely retrieving the ancient artifact is but the beginning of a much larger quest.

#3-10: The Immortal Conundrum Levels 5–9
When the Pathfinder Society receives an invitation to a dinner party at the Thuvian Embassy, hosted by the guardian of this year’s six doses of the infamous sun orchid elixir, the Decemvirate sends a team of Pathfinders to represent them and uncover the nature of the event. Can the PCs navigate the complex social landscape of Absalom’s elite and gain access to the mysterious vault known as the Conundrum, or will they face public ridicule or worse in the face of the steepest competition in the Inner Sea?

#3-11: The Quest for Perfection—Part II: On Hostile Waters Levels 1–5
With an ancient Iroran relic in hand, the Pathfinders must make a long river voyage to the inland nation of Shokuro to return it to the only person who can reactivate the long-dormant artifact. Whether dangers take the form of goblinoid menaces on the shores of Kaoling to the north or the powerful armies of Lingshen to the south, the Pathfinders’ journey will be anything but a pleasure cruise. Can the PCs survive hostile waters to safely reach their destination, or will they fall victim to the perils of river travel in Tian Xia?

#3-12: Wonders in the Weave—Part I: The Dog Pharaoh’s Tomb Levels 5–9
On an isolated demiplane, the Pathfinders explore an Osirian ruin transported from Golarion by a powerful sorcerer centuries ago. And though the Pathfinder Society believes the fruits of their delve to be ripe for the picking, the unnatural landscape surrounding the tomb and a run-in with an unexpected guest make getting out with the treasure a tough task for the PCs.

Special Event

Blood over Absalom Levels 1-11
The big event! Multi table, multi level, special event for Conception 2012. Don’t miss this!

Recent releases

#3-07: Echoes of the Overwatched Levels 1–5
When a Pathfinder agent working in the famed Blakros Museum in Absalom falls victim to a terrible, ancient evil, if falls to the PCs to hunt down the released terror before it can retrieve a relic of the mad astronomer Ralzeros the Overwatched.

#3-08: Among the Gods Levels 3–7
The Pathfinder Society sends the PCs to the mountaintop mausoleum and monument known as Antios’s Crown in search of a long-lost relic believed to be contained there, but all is not as it seems. Can the Pathfinders survive the denizens of the remote mountain complex and the sinister plot of a powerful cultists who plans revenge on the Society that has foiled their plans one too many times?

Perfect introductory adventures for 1st level characters

Intro 1: First Steps—Part I: In Service to Lore 1st level characters
In your first mission as a Pathfinder agent, the head of the Grand Lodge sends you on a number of missions throughout the metropolis of Absalom, pitting you against traps, thieves, and even an unruly devil, all in the pursuit of knowledge.

Intro 2: First Steps—Part II: To Delve the Dungeon Deep 1st level characters
You venture for the first time into the massive haunted dungeons beneath an abandoned siege tower in the deadly Cairnlands, where you will experience firsthand the true dangers of being a tomb-delving Pathfinder.

Intro 3: First Steps—Part III: A Vision of Betrayal 1st level characters
Dispatched on an envoy mission overland from Absalom to port city Escadar, you must weather the harsh wilderness of the Isle of Kortos before you can hope to meet with the representative of the elusive gillmen, and only then come face to face with the greatest threat to the Pathfinder Society.

GMs they need you! There are never enough GMs at Conception to satisfy the hordes of players. Why not swop to the other side of the screen. It’s fun! They have hint sheets to help new (and old) GMs and the players will love you…

These are the fabulous games on offer this year. Many thanks to Sue, Fi and Nickey for putting them on for all of us. If you would like to play one or more of these games please contact Julian with your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice clearly listed by email from 7.30pm on Wednesday 7th December 2011. He will then endeavor to make sure as many people get their first choice as possible and pass on the roster of players to the GMs so characters can be sorted out. We hope we can do this as swiftly and painlessly as possible to allow things to get sorted before Christmas gets in the way.

Please contact Julian by email on julian.hayley@virgin.net.

Collision Imminent!: Can someone turn that alarm off? Please report to your assigned lifepod station immediately… Have you seen Fifi? Why does that engineer look worried? …where a trained and friendly Imagineerium™ starship cruise line crewmember will help you… Did you hear that thump? COLLISION IMMINENT! What do you mean I can’t get another Rigellian Core Meltdown to go? What am I supposed to drink while I wait? Is the air getting thin in here? …to safely board a lifepod that will carry you to rescue in the unlikely event of an actual evacuation… COLLISION IMMINENT! Will an officer please report to the Leo Deck? Daddy? Do you know where my Daddy is? Please do not panic! COLLISION IMMINENT! Come join the unexpected end of the maiden voyage on the newest and most luxurious starliner of the Imagineerium™ fleet. Play one of the crew or several of the passengers in this fast-paced horde style LARP that was a smash hit at Intercon 15.5, Intercon A, Arisia 2003, OurCon XII, WPI, Dexcon VII and Intercon G! Collision Imminent! is a horde-style game. There are a limited number of parts designed to run through the entire course of the game. There are a significantly larger set of small parts – characters who come on, do some kind of character bit, and then exit. Players in the “horde” get to do many of these roles during the course of the game. There isn’t any waiting around for the horde – we’re trying to simulate a whole spaceliner full of strange and interesting passengers – so there’s lots to do! A Horde game for 20-40 people, 4 hours, in the bar running on Saturday afternoon.

Flimsey Turrets: Sometimes the only way to get through an awkward situation is NOT to let people know exactly what is going on. Unpalatable as you obviously find it, during the course of this evening you may have to lie. Tonight is the dinner to mark the re-opening of Flimsey Turrets, a long running family oriented hotel on the south coast. You’re really looking forward to it. There seem to be very few staff but that may just be that they are keeping out of the way. There has been a lot of work done to upgrade the facilities so it should be an experience to remember. Flimsey Turrets is a Freeform Live Roleplay game for sixteen to twenty four people. No previous knowledge of Freeform games or other games systems is required. Emphasis is very much on the roleplay element. Costuming is welcomed but not essential and will be mainly evening dress. Players should be over sixteen. This game is running on Friday evening. Presented by “The Usual Suspects”

Come Hel or Hiawatha: There have been many rumours of Viking tribes who have made their way over the seas to a land of milk and honey they called Vinland. This is the saga of one such, the Clan of Ragnar, who have braved the Northern seas to try and make a new life in the mysterious lands to the west. And it is the tale of the Chikasaw, the tribe who sees the interlopers coming from the sea. They are rich in sky metal, but are they really favoured of the spirits? Only time will tell in this game for 13 players, in which Viking faces Indian, each one determined to prevail. This is a two hour game for 13 players: This will run on Friday afternoon. 3 female, 7 male, 3 neutral players required

Please remember to pass this information on to anyone you know who might want to be in any of these games that perhaps doesn’t visit the website regularly and if people could refrain from sending in their game choices until Wednesday evening, we’d be very grateful.
